They're a good, less expensive form of chelated calcium and magnesium, and I find that I have to use chelated magnesium, as magnesium oxide is too hard on my stomach. They ARE very large pills, so what I've always done is chew them lightly before swallowing.I love this product because it contains both magnesium and calcium, plus both are chelated, which is important because it makes them more absorbable. Also, the ratio of calcium to magnesium is perfect. A very convenient way to protect your bones!
