2 sets of these brought my old rollerblades back to life!I bought these for my quad skates for outdoor, and went to a skate shop to install the new wheels. They are very smooth compared to the stock bearings that were on before. I'm definitely happy with the value given how expensive bearings can get, and these worked well.Good quality for the price, also threw in some extra stickers.I see everyone loading these fantastic bearings in their longboards but I have a bit more of a retro use! To start, let me say these bearings are fantastic! I used to roller skate a lot when I was in middle school and now that I'm in college I figured I'd pick the hobby back up. I bought a new pair of roller skates (Chicago Men's Rink Skate) and they fit perfectly but when I got on the rink, I knew they had cheaped out on the bearings. After talking to some old skating buddies, I ordered these bearings and I was blown away. I had created quite easily the smoothest riding roller skates ever! If you're looking to get into classic roller skating, I can suggest only these bearings. A good price, and excellent quality. Make sure if you're purchasing for roller skates, to get two packs (you'll need 16 bearings total).Bearings roll smooth and quiet. The red seal looks good. They skate smooth too. The local rink owner encouraged me to pry up the clear plastic ball holder on the back side and add a drop of oil. He had seen premature failure in his rentals if he didn't do this. But with a drop of oil, he had never seen failure. It can be tricky getting the balls back in just the right place if you lift the plastic holder too far up.After doing this, they are much smoother, they don't spin as long, but you can't notice while skating.I used Black Panthers or Shorty's Bearings when i used to skate and seeing Shorty's no longer sells bearings I looked at Black Panthers but they were too expensive, so i wanted another option. I notice Bones were rated the highest and was affordable. I read the reviews so i decided to buy them, so far i am satisfied with them they are smooth. I would recommend because they are cheap and good.I love themWhen in doubt, always get Bones Reds. They won't let you down. A very trustworthy brand for bearings. They are super quick once broken in, which takes one or two days of skating. I have always recommended Bones to anyone looking to get into skating or just anyone who needs new bearings.
